The Space
On the Monopoly board and in reality, Bally's location is Atlantic City's most valuable property. Two of the grand hotels that occupied this beachfront are long gone, but Bally's mercifully preserved a third, once called the Dennis Hotel, now referred to as the Hotel Section. Bally's spa and workout facilities are the finest you'll find in town, featuring a tropical park of whirlpools, inhalation room, aerobics studio and sun deck.

The Amenities
1,748 guest rooms (including suites)
17 restaurants
6 lounges
2,180 slot machines, 109 game tables
2 Indoor pools
2 Spas
Exercise room
Gift shops
Meeting and convention facilities

I should have listened to the bad reviews that I read and stayed far away from this hotel. I arrived at around 9pm, as I had said I would on my online reservation. I selected the "Premium" room with "generous bay windows with expansive views" when I made my reservation. When I arrived, the room I had selected was unavailable. They sent me, instead, to the "newly renovated" Garden Tower. When I walked into my room, it hadn't been cleaned yet, at 9:30pm! When I looked out the "bay windows", the only view I had was of a rooftop. I called for the room to be cleaned three times before anyone arrived, over an hour later. I didn't get to eat until 11pm. I was too tired to do anything after all of this hassle, so I just went to bed. The next day, we went to play some slots, we got one drink in 2 hours. After our V-day dinner, we went to the recommended Blue Martini for drinks. It was great there to start out with, the waitress brought us our drinks and the DJ was great. Then, two girls in fishnet tights and underwear got up on the stage behind the bar and started dancing, on Valentine's day! I was appalled by the lack of class this place had. When I spoke with the Manager about this, he tried to sweet talk me and makes my boyfriend seem like the problem. The problem was that I didn't feel comfortable having two girls shake their stuff in my face on my, what was meant to be, romantic weekend away with my boyfriend. When we got back to the room, we ordered room service. It took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get some food and a bottle of wine delivered to our room. I was already asleep by the time they finally arrived. I checked out in the morning and when I arrived home, I checked my bank account and realized that on top of everything that I had to deal with all weekend, I had been charged double for my ridiculously priced two night stay at Bally's. I have been wasting more time calling and I am waiting to get a call back since 9:30am this morning and it is 1:30pm.

The Pool at Harrah's is a first class rip off. The admission is high priced. The staff is rude. The casino is dirty, does not pay out well, Bally's is horrible too. Corrupt city government, casino/mafia ran, poice brutality, police misconduct, a sad sad sad city. The nightclubs are terrible, the music is worse, they short people at the cabana's, filled with violent under covers. I encourage people to do thier own research on just how bad it is. Do a public records request, see how city contracts are given, how allegations of abuse are not investigated. Be all you can be, stop corruption.

A 3 night stay with a room that needed to be cleaned, my husband & I were given rooms in the claridge , our friends who came in from texas and wisconsin, were put in the garden tower. We had no comparison since this was our first time stay in the ballys, we have stayed at all the other Harrahs properties, and we were never disappointed in our rooms. The tower is old but it didnt bother me in the least, it does have character. We went to our room with a bellman, and my first impression was not good, there was a painting missing from the wall, and i mentioned it to him. My husband and I were in a hurry to meet our friends and visit. On returning to room that evening i noticed alot of dust on the furniture, and stains all over the curtains, let alone the stains on the carpeting, and the large burn near the tv. Well we got comfortable and turned the tv on, and it was so old, it acted like a tv thats rabbit ears needed to be adjusted to get reception. But we tried to make the best of it, but i did go to the front desk on sunday to voice my opinion, and it netted me a 50.00 reduction on our bill. Well housekeeping came and went to make our beds, but i guess she left her duster home. On Sunday, they finally made it to our room at 6:00 pm . On Sunday eve we were packing upto check out the next day. I moved the chairs by the window with a small table, i had dropped a ring and the bottom of the drapes all the way across looked like they went thru a flood, and the water was drawn up the drapes, even looked like mold was growing. I knew right than that this was not acceptable to anyone, and i proceeded to take pictures of everything that was wrong. The following morning went to front desk with my camera, and made them look at it. I was refunded for my hotel stay, and it was the right thing for them to do. I will continue to visit Harrahs properties, I do believe in them, and if you are not happy, speak up....
