Missed the mark!. I recently stayed in the Trump Taj Mahal and had decided to check the Casbah out with the friends I was traveling with. Being in the mood for some techno after a pretty mellow night, it seemed like the place to be. We couldn't have been more wrong. We each paid the $20 cover charge to get in, and while some of the people in our party enjoyed the atmosphere, I did not. There wasn't a single techno beat to be found. For the hour I tortured myself with, there was only hip-hop. I don't mind a good mix, but there is only so much of the hip-hop style I can take. A true disappointment. The floor was oddly sticky, as well. Not just a few places, but everywhere we stepped was like trying to walk across boxing tape.
had a good time :). the scene of this club was so awesome we had a good time ... it had a nice crowd and everything ..
disappointing. Very disappointing....crowd was not as expected--marjority of people were over 40 years old (I think i saw my grandfather and his father). There must have been a height limit because every male was under 5 feet 2 inches. Being a tall, YOUNG woman I did not appreciate this. Music was decent as was the atmosphere. Overall just not a fun place to go clubbing. If you still want to see for yourself, don't bother paying the entry fee, but sign up online for the guestlist so you get in for free.
mac and mancos. good dancing and an awesome time u should deff. try it out. cover change $20 a little steep but if u like dancing and hot guys
Best club in AC other then MIX. Good club, mix of philly and nyc crowd. Fun times with fun people. For locals, not a big local mix here.
The Hottest Club on the East Coast. Donald did this one just right. No other club in AC compares. Lines can be long but well worth it once you get in. Good drinks and great looking people. Its about time this city got some life into it!
The boardwalk's solitary refuge for those who prefer dancing to slot machines..
The Scene
Donald Trump's personal greeting pipes down onto clubgoers taking the escalator into his sound and light show for the 20-something crowd. Touted as A.C.'s only New York-style dance club, Casbah resembles a cave turned on its end, that is, a cave that's laser-lit and pulsating with techno and house beats. Three steel cages--two shelved on a wall, another hoisted from the ceiling--contain the club's dancers, dressed and moving as if they've just finished touring with Britney. Swanky booths border the rinklike dance floor. Above, ten big TV screens simulcast and replay dancers moving in time to the music. On summer nights, this place packs in the late-night partyers.
The Crowd
In the summer: shore bunnies and beach boys, fresh from the blackjack tables and the bars. In the winter: locals and international travelers. What to wear: Wet Seal.
