Don't have a private party here!. We had a Bridal shower and the Banquet Manager Meghan would never answer her phone. When she would finally call back, gave nothing but attitude. The management staff on site, knew nothing about our event and after many trips to the Inlet, nothing would get accomplished. Finally the management staff offered to buy a cake for the event as an apology for all the bad service. After the shower, there was a charge on the bill for the cake and they would not remove it. Never, Never, Never trust them to take care of their guests especially those spending a lot of money there! Unbelievable!

Terrible. Simply awful experience at the Inlet on 8/12/08. Best food were our 2 kids meals, spaghetti and chicken fingers. Chopped salad was okay, lobster bisque cold and had no lobster. Entrees arrived with 2 minutes of appetizers and servers tried to take apps we had just started eating. Obviously the staff was trying to get out of there as the place was empty, even though there was an hour and a half wait at the Crabtrap. I told the server "you really jumped the gun on that entrees," and she offered to take them back and put them under the heat lamp. Thanks alot! All four adult entress were cold, and went uneaten. Server offered to wrap them, but we said they weren't worth saving. She didn't really seem to care. Prices were throught the roof, $13 for a burger cooked to a crisp, $26 for a small piece of salmon, and $6 for two plastic cups of chocolate milk for the kids, not to mention $9 for each kid to get a tiny scoop of ice cream.

Was a shame to spend $245 with tip for 4 adults and 2 kids to eat cold, inferior food delivered by a staff that didn't seem to care at all.

One of the greatest dining experiences of my life.. This is my first post and I felt compelled to write because another user had such an unfortunate experience. Last winter we got engaged at Sails. The entire evening was absolute perfection. From the moment we entered the gorgeous dining room and sat in a Frank Sinatra booth overlooking the water it was heaven. The menu was diverse and not at all overpriced. The oysters were divine. Please try if you have the chance. I can not say a bad word about the place.

Save your money - and your clothes!. Not only a huge disappointment, but one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had! Dinner itself was uneventful, marked only by average food and less-than-average service. The waiter obviously didn't want to be there, and was of no help in suggesting wines or entrees.

At the end of the evening, a bus boy dropped an overstacked tray of dishes and glasses on me as I sat in my chair. Although he apologized, the manager did not, and instead was quite abrupt. The restaurant did absolutely NOTHING to make amends, in spite of the embarrassing situation and the damage the broken glass did to my sweater. The manager actually had the nerve to ask, "Well, was it a new sweater?"

Save your money! There are far better restaurants in this price range and area.
