Steve Kalt's brilliant hybrid of Italian-American standards and classic Italian regional food is a triumph, only obscured by the fact that it's in a hotel-casino. But if you are looking for a getaway to AC, Fornelletto is a great reason to choose the Borgata.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Set underneath the Borgata’s casino floor, this muted wine cave and traditional Italian fine-dining restaurant feels removed from the bustle above. Seating options are numerous, with a choice of sitting at a sedate bar, in a lounge that feels like a sophisticated yet comfortable wine & cheese bar, in two plush dining rooms or within several private rooms. Bottles of wine line the walls behind cases of glass and attentive servers bring plates of cheese from the mozzarella bar along with pizzas, salads, pasta, seafood and meats.
