Silver Coin Diner. I took my son to the diner tonight and we sat at the counter because he wanted to see the cakes and pies. The food was great, we had a kids cheeseburger, and a chicken quesadilla. Portions were large and the food was cooked just right, not greasy at all. We also split a piece of cake and that was wonderful too, not dry at all as I'd feared. The only thing wrong was our waitress-covered in tattoos and very rude. She spoke to us politely, but was then yelling to another waitress, across the counter, about the different wigs she wore when she was a dancer. Talk about too much information! Apparently she was a stripper who had a customer with a foot fettish-this I did not need to know, but my son and I had front row seats for the entire conversation! I was embarrassed and just hurried my son out of the diner. I would go back for the food, but our waitress was a nightmare!!!

Service atSilver Coin Diner. Previously the food has been good at the Silver Coin Diner, large portions. However, the hostess who seated us, an older woman with salt and pepper hair and glasses was absolutely unnerving. My clients and I wanted a table near the window and she tried to seat us in the middle of the diner where the lighting wasn't very bright. I asked if we could please sit near the window and she threw up her arms and announced loudly that we had altered her seating schedule and if we insisted on sitting there she couldn't guarantee us great service. She "glared" at our table several times, shaking her head. We only ordered appetizers and left as she made us feel so uncomfortable. She also yelled at some employees using profanity so loudly that I was embarrassed for my clients so we left. When I paid the check she asked how everything was and I told her just how uncomfortable she made us feel. She apologized then, but it was too little too late. I heard her say something derogatory to our waitress on our way out and she had the nerve to come out in the parking lot to berate me about the tip I left! I was mortified! I will never return to the Silver Coin Diner specifically because of her and her attitude toward me and my clients. Talk about unprofessional!

Great for breakfast. Silver Coin has always been our place to go since I was a kid! Love their Breakfast, always good. Home fries are awesome. Mom loves SOS on a biscuit not many places do that. Great coffee wish I knew what kind it is! Anyone know?
