Excellent service, great food. This was by far one of the best meals {and service} I've had in a while. Doing a little shopping in the area in early August and decided to give this place a try (been there years ago but had been a long long time). The food was great at a great price, salad bar amazingly fresh and the service dynamite. I would definitely return here again...the wait wasn't bad considering it was a packed Friday summer night and overall great.

The missing STAR {in the rating}... dispenser in restroom out of soap and had to wait for 10 mintues for a refill to arrive.

Very Disappointing. After reading glowing reviews and seeing the best of New Jersey awards this was a restaurant we wanted to visit. First the awards, Best Salad Bar - I've seen better salad bars in a Burger King. Best Steak - We both ordered T-Bone steaks and they were less than 1/2" thick, were tough,and had no flavor. I'm positive that these steaks had been previously frozen and then defrosted before cooking. You order your food directly from one of the cooks and for some cuts of meat (the ones sold by the ounce) you see what you are ordering before it is cooked. I wish that was the case with the T-Bone we ordered.

The staff was pleasant, and except for the waitress who was chewing gum, professional.

BAD FOOD, OK SERVICE - SCARY. When visiting my parents at the shore I decided to take them out for a prime rib dinner. Since we had not been to the Library 3 in many years, we decided to skip The Palm and Ruth Chris's and go to someplace less formal. BIG MISTAKE. The food was very dissapointing and my prime rib not fit for a dog. The smell of mold should have been a hint from the moment that you enter the front door. A trip to the bathroom made the Mobil Station bathroom in Fort Lee look like the Borgata. The hostess/manager was rude when I told and showed her the cut of meat that I had been served, large bone and fat that far outweighed the edible meat and covered the entire plate. I was not asking for a free meal or reduced price of my dinner but was treated in a very unproffesional manner with the Hostess/manager explaining to me how a larger cut was given to me because of all the fat and that fat is what makes it so good. She went on to tell me that I should have said something when the plate was put in front of me, basically that I had missed my chance to comment. That is when I told her I would not serve that cut to a dog. I was not asking for a free dinner or anything, just making management aware of my experience. After scolding me for eating what was edible before telling them, good luck getting anyone's attention without waiving them down, I was offered a filet or something different. We were ready for the check, not looking for anything but a good meal. I told the Hostess/manager that I have only complained twice in my life at a restaurant and that I would never send food back -- who know's what happens to the food in the back. The place needs a major overhaul, a major cleaning, and a change of staff.

Do yourselves a favor and skip The Library 3.

BT THE WAY: Does Egg Harbor have a health inspector? They must have missed this place.

there was an insect in my salad. My boyfriend decided to take me to the Library III for our anniversary and let me tell you---NEVER AGAIN. I found an insect in my salad and when the manager came over, all he said was "well it happens, i'll pay for your dessert" To me, this is not sufficient for having insects in my food. He did not seem surprised that there was an insect in my food and came off that it happens all of the time. Needless to say, the meal was not that appetizing and the 'kind' free dessert was horrible as well. everything about this experience ruined my night and i will not return to this restaurant.

The food is good, but expensive. I liked the food even though it is expensive, but the atmosphere is dark and gloomy and the drinks are over the top expensive. A manhattan cost $8.00 unheard of, maybe New York prices and forget the wine prices.

The Very Best Steak's. If you want a great steak at a great price, look no no where else..This is the place!! You also get a great salad bar. They also have seafood, but as my hubby say you don't go to a steak house and order seafood, but it is also very good..I have had the surf and turf..

Editorial Review. Dimly-lit bistro known for steak allows diners to hand-select meat before it is cooked. Meals come with unlimited visits to salad bar.
