Very nice and very honest people here. Took a diamond to get re-appraised after splitting with my fiance. Artie, who handles appraisals there, explained to me the best way to sell the diamond. He told me that the diamond increased almost 20% in value, told me the best way to maximize profit and even told me that he would not feel comfortable making an offer because "no jeweler would come close to offering in person what you can get online". I was happy to pay the appraisal charge and he would not even accept it. The location may not be the most ideal, but my experience there was a pleasure.

I went to two other places which I will not name. Neither was forthcoming. Both scoffed at me when they found out I purchased the ring online despite a GIA certification and sterling history of the company. And BOTH offered me less than 20% what Artie indicated I would get online. I never post reviews online but had to share this experience. Palace Diamonds will have my business in the future.

Worth the trip to the Shore Mall. I recently purchased my fiancee's engagement ring at Palace Diamonds, and aside from the fact that it is located in the Shore Mall -- which seems to become less and less relevant as more stores/restaurants are added to the Hamilton Mall area every year -- I cannot think of any negatives. In fact, I can't wait to go back for the wedding bands!

Now, I must admit that from the mall, the store -- with huge, yellow sidewalk-style signs advertising "We Buy Gold" displayed at the entrance -- looks a bit shady. But the sales people are anything but. Before getting to that though, let me say that they have an excellent jeweler on-site, which means that not only do you get high-quality work, you get it done quickly!

Back to the sales people. I did quite a bit of research and visited approximately a dozen jewelry stores before finally deciding on Palace Diamonds. The sales person there was one of maybe two or three who actually listened when I told him the amount I was looking to spend and did not try to significantly upsell me.

But, unlike the other places that didn't try to upsell me, the value I was offered for the price was, quite simply, incredible. The price of the center diamond alone, based on its size, cut, clarity, and color would have been a bargain had I purchased it loose. But, I had it set in one of their custom-made rings--and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone who has seen it marvels at how unique the ring is! My fiancee absolutely loves it, and two months later, I often catch her staring at it.

Finally, both the setting of the diamond into the ring and the re-sizing were done in less than a day. I would highly recommend Palace Diamonds to any man who wants a respite from the craziness of engagement ring shopping and pushy, condescending sales people. You will be glad you did.

Most beautiful diamond EVER!. I have been shopping Palace Diamonds for many years and have never come out of there without the most beautiful jewelry at the most wonderful rates! My fiancee's engagement ring gets constant oohs and aahs on the brilliance and beauty and purity of the diamond!

The owner and personnel are personable, gracious people, and we appreciate their undivided attention until we are happy...

Maybe their advertising didn't do them justice, but you can't hold that against their service and great product! Curtis P.

Very BAD advertising. I will remember the name Palace Diamonds, not because of their alledged terrific exchange rate and service, but for one of the absolutely most tasteless radio spots aired during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Not only do they grab your attention by using the Olympic Theme music, but they also include a conversation between the announcer and a supposed Gold Medal Winner who says he's going to Palace Diamonds and cash-in his gold medal for cash or diamonds! Not only is this ad degrading to the Olymoic Ideal but in my estimation having spent 20 years on "Madison Avenue" it's probably the worst piece of radio advertising I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. If their product and service are on par with their advertising I guess I won't have long to listen to the name of their company,,,er, uh Olympic something or other!
