GREATEST CRAB.
We came here on my man's whim, and he was right. The best seafood south of the "border." Thanks honey!

Best seafood ever.
While this place has everything seafood and then some. I prefer broiled, cooked but cold or scampi style and boy do they know how to do it right!
I've been going here 2-3 times a year for several years while on business and have never been disappointed. Yes its crowded (way to many tables for the space) and expensive but its well worth it.
The staff has always been very professional, but they are very hurried.
My impression is that reservations would always be needed
be sure to try the lump crab meat cocktail as well as the fried asparagas.
If you like top notch fresh seafood and don't mind paying for it,this is the place for you.

Denied Service.
My sister, her fiancee and I all drove up from Cape May to eat at Docks being that it was recommended by a Philadelphia newspaper. When we got there, we walked in at 6:30 and asked for a table for three people. The host looked at his computer and stated that he couldn't get us in until "after 7:30." When we looked at our watches and considered sitting at the bar to eat oysters in the meantime, the host interjected that he wouldn't have a place until 8:00.
A woman, who I suspect was a co-owner, walked up and explained that they had another restaurant about 10 blocks away, called them on the phone and confirmed that they had seats available. As we walked out, my sister's fiancee and I both thought the whole situation was strange, so I decided to call and attempt to make a reservation. The time was 6:38pm. My reservation for three people was confirmed for 6:45pm!
We waited until 6:45 and then my sister's fiancee and I both walked back in to cancel our reservation. The host was, of course, surprised to see me again, and dumbfounded when I told him that I had a reservation at 6:45. I told him that I would actually like to cancel the reservation, being that they had turned away our business when they saw us in person. The manager had been close by and said, "Well if we had known you had a reservation, there wouldn't have beeen a problem." At which point I explained that we didn't have a reservation until after we had been denied service. Other customers were starting to notice the conversation, so I leaned in and said, "I'm not here to make a scene, but if we're not appropriately dressed to be here, that's all you have to say." At which point the manager threw her hands up in the air and said, "it has nothing to do with the way you're dressed. There's no problems with the way you're dressed." I then So should I assume the problem is that I'm Asian? We bid the host and manager a goodnight and went for fried seafood baskets down the street.
