It is what it is...

Maynard's is a blue collar bar where you can have a drink and, for the most part, be left alone. Just stay away on weekends in the summer...unless you like to be swarmed by college kids. I've never eaten there...so I can't comment on the food. The bartenders are friendly and seem to get faster as the place gets more crowded. The men's room will strike fear into the hearts of the weak. It's dank, smells bad and houses one of the last troughs left...in place of a urinal.

In all...Maynard's is a place to go for reasonable priced drinks in a blue-collar atmosphere. Don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed.

• Cons: filthy men's room, outdated jukebox
