Great Place , Fun Times cant wait for Summer 2012 :-). Absolutely LOVE Memories., Love Jerry & Desi. They have always been like family to us. Close to home , Jerry is still a trip and going strong at 70 ..The music we grew up with is still alive here. AND for those " bad mouthing" memories for whatever .." treating professionals the same" ..etc.. We're all the same at Memories and thats a good thing ..maybe remembering we all put our pants on one leg at a time is good for you .. PS Dress policy if I am right, is only on Saturday night ..so what no sneakers, no T shirts and "look nice" , don't you own any " upscale casual " clothes ? .. Money doesn't buy class Mr Wilson.

Don't bother. Want to be treated like trash, go to Memories. Be greeted by the dumbest ganster wanna-be bouncers who won't let mid 40's people dressed extremely well for a "resort-like" town like Margate into a pretty empty club on a Saturday night. The reason it's empty is because of how those dumb jerks treat people. The owner of this place must be a moron. We went down the road and spent a boat load of money at Maynards. Note to owner... you're an idiot! Fire your dumb ass goons and change your ridiculous dress policy and perhaps you'll make some money. Until then you won't get a cent of mine.

Professional Mid-Lifers Treated like Trash. My husband and I have been waiting for the chance to go to Memories in Margate to listen to Jerry Blavatt for years and finally had the opportunity to do so on Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend, 2011. We weren't permitted to enter the club because my husband was wearing cargo pants! We're both 55 years old, typical-looking middle-agers and had just eaten dinner at the upscale Lobster House restaurant in Cape May wearing the same clothes. The Memories "bouncers" told us men weren't allowed to wear cargo shorts, white sneakers, sandals or jeans!! No mention of that on their website. We couldn't believe this happened on a summer holiday weekend at the shore! There was nobody in line to enter the club and there were approximately 30 people inside. The club had already been opened for approximately 30 minutes by the time we had arrived. With dress codes and attendance like that, Memories should strongly consider closing. Men, unless you enjoy formal wear, you may want to spend your money somewhere else!!

Treated like Lower-Class Citizens! Stay away!. I had a similar experience as monkeymania. My fiance and I were almost denied entrance into the club b/c he was wearing sandals. We were treated like we were lower-class. We were dressed very nice but treated as though we looked like slobs. The patrons of the bar were so snobby and expect to pay at least $5 for a domestic beer.

For all ages & styles. We felt comfortable coming one time all dressed up and another time more casual. There are people here from their 20's to their 80's. Can get way crowded on Saturday night, Fridays are more relaxed plus they serve food. The guy letting people in at the door has a BAD attitude but once you are inside the Geator makes up for it. He is funny and will recognize you before too long.

the only thing more disgusting than the place itself is the owner. I don't even know where to begin, avoid this place at all costs get a d.u.i and spend the night in jail ...you will have a better time! First of all a cover charge to get in this dump is an insult, a cover charge is supposed to be justified not just extra income for the house.After getting by the wanna be gangsters at the door you arrive into what could be best described as a badly organized frat party. Bad service , filthy everything, poor drinks, excrement on the floor in the bathroom, etc etc etc!(Id go on but there is only so much time in the day)One final cherry on the cake, speaking of bathrooms i took my chances to go take a leak, and after waiting for the two homosexuals doing lines to get out of the way I urinated on a pile of cigarettes in the toilet and started to make my way back to my guests, only to be greeted by a vile ugly man who proclaimed himself to be the owner.This moron goes on to explode in a two minute tirade about my shoes(I had flip flops on ...beach in august , go figure) He demanded I leave, after dragging me to the office (Inhabited by an equally hideous shrew), and out the side door. I was unable to say goodbye to my friends. I was told I could have the cover charges back if I pulled my friends out as well(nice) I was very polite...even though the situation was ridiculous . If they said something at the door I would have taken everyone elsewhere, But to lose your mind on a paying customer for something he had no idea about is not only unprofessional but stupid ... thats how little men lose their teeth. I don't think my opinion means everything, but as the owner of two bars and a restaurant it might carry a little weight. Everybody gets what they deserve in the end sir!

Absolutely Horrible! Underage kids drinking! WHATS A MESS!. This place should be shut down! Ive never saw a more slobbish crowd in my life! It was Horrible! I will never go here again and i do not recommend wasting your time going. It was the most discusting oldies bar ive ever been in my life!
