Excellent NY Style Pizza

This was the find of our recent trip to Atlantic City. We enjoyed slices of mozzarella pizza to go. The slices were large, the crust thin and the toppings achieved the desired balance between cheese and sauce. On top of that lunch was a downright bargain

If you want to be treated like dirt, go to Jo Jo's!

The only thing worse than Jo Jo's food are their rude and disrespectful servers and their horrible owner. They may have a monopoly on Italian food in the Ventnor/Margate area, but soon enough they will be out of business and I will celebrate!

How Jo Jo's Ruined by Daughter's Birthday

For my daughter's 2nd birthday, we thought it would be fun to have the family start out our day with an early (11 AM) lunch - including pizza and sandwiches. We had 22 people, including seven kids ages 4 and under. You would think this would be some good business for Jo Jo's, and they would be interested in serving us with a smile - and maybe even keeping us happy. You would be wrong . . .

We have never been treated as poorly as we were treated at that restaurant that day. The attitude we were given as we tried to patronize the restaurant was appalling. We were not looking for any extraordinary service - just some paper plates to go with our pizza, and perhaps a knife or napkin. Apparently this was too much to ask of our server who wanted nothing to do with us, and glared at us with attitude if we ever stood up in the blessed isle for a moment. Oh - by the way - the server got a $25 "built-in" tip for treating us this way.

The only thing worse than how we were treated by the server is how we were treated by the owner - whose attitude was basically that they do plenty of business, so they don't care if we're happy or not, and he doesn't want our business anyway. That's fine - he won't be getting our future business, and I hope he doesn't get your business either.

Even before this experience, we've always been unhappy with the attitude we've gotten from the staff of this restaurant and the fact that they are blatantly overpriced for the very ordinary food they provide. The reason we would continually go back was for its convenient location relative to our summer digs. We are now sufficiently appalled by the way Jo Jo's operates. No one should patronize a restaurant that operates in this manner.
